Katharine McPhee gives birth, welcomes son with David Foster

Katharine McPhee will now sing lullabies for her new bundle of joy.

The 36-year-old artist has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband David Foster, 71, her rep confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday.

“Mom, dad and son all make it great,” her representative told People in a statement.

McPhee, who has been married to Foster since June 2019, first fed pregnancy speculations in October, when ‘American Idol’ alum was photographed with her baby bump. Sources later confirmed the pregnancy for People.

Grammy winner Foster has five grown daughters from previous relationships: Amy, Erin, Sara, Jordan and Allison.

Foster and McPhee first connected in 2017 and made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala a year later. In July 2018, the couple became engaged while on vacation on the Italian island of Capri.

“He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri,” McPhee posted on Instagram at the time.

“Stars completely dark. Luckily he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said it was one of the other and in the end he spared me, ”she continued.

McPhee was previously married to Nick Cokas, while this is Foster’s fifth marriage. He was previously married to BJ Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson and most recently Yolanda Hadid. The former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star filed for divorce in January 2016.

A McPhee representative did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
