Kate Middleton and Prince William’s secret cottage has fond memories

Kate Middleton and Prince William have a house that many Britons don’t even know about – a cottage on the Queen’s 50,000 acre estate in Scotland.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge split most of their time between London, at Kensington Palace, and Anmer Hall, their country house on Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

But Tam-Na-Ghar has particularly fond memories of Kate and William, a place they often visited when they were dating, the Mirror reported.

And the royal couple even packed their offspring – Prince George, 7; Prince Charlotte, 5; and Prince Louis, 2 – entered the three-bedroom house for a stay two summers ago.

The cottage, a gift to William from the Queen Mother’s great-grandmother before she died in 2002, is located near where Prince Charles and Camilla live on the estate – Birkhall.

Balmoral Castle is the crown jewel of the 150-building compound where the Queen and Prince Philip spend their summers.

Also on the property are several cottages that the royals rent out to vacationers – when they’re not there.
