Kanye West submitted his reply Kim Kardashian‘s divorce petition, and it is, in fact, a mirror image of his estranged wife’s legal documents.
Kanye is also asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children, just like Kim. FYI … joint custody doesn’t automatically mean a 50/50 split, and it’s likely that Kim will give the kids the lion’s share of the time. They will almost certainly come to an arrangement among themselves and have it approved by the court. They are both committed to co-parenting.
Kanye – like Kim – wants to close the door on marital support. Well, they can afford to live alone.
He also says they also have to pay their own legal fees.
As we have already reported, Kim and Kanye have a marriage contract, so there shouldn’t be a major problem with distributing assets. It’s interesting … Ye’s response comes on the heels of Forbes reporting that Kim has now made it billionaire status
Kim filed for divorce on February 19 … so Kanye is a bit late submitting his answer, although it doesn’t really matter as it won’t cause any problem.
Kim has not listed a date of divorce on her divorce documents. As for Kanye … he didn’t mention a divorce date either.
Our sources say Kim and Kanye barely spoke in the months leading up to the divorce petition, but it seems things are quieter now.
Chances are, they’ll work things out privately with the attorneys and managers and file the settlement agreement when the ink is dry.
