The singer-songwriter said she looks at the institution of marriage with a degree of skepticism she previously lacked, citing long-term single Hollywood couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell as people ‘doing something right’.

“Part of me has doubts about marriage as a whole, in general,” said the Golden of Texas. I mean, I was open to it when it came into my life. I hugged it. I have to tell myself I was brave to follow those feelings. ‘

The performers had initially crossed paths in 2016 at an event at Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
