Justice would investigate San Juan warehouses if the council sends a referral

Given the controversy sparked by the discovery of supplies at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, believed to date back to Hurricane María, the Justice Department assured Subway who would intervene if a referral is sent to them.

The Minister of Justice, Domingo Emanuelli HernandezHe said in written statements to this medium that “San Juan Municipality is conducting an internal audit and we await the outcome. Once these are completed, and after sending a referral to the Department of Justice, an investigation will begin. done.

Earlier today, the former mayor of the municipality of San Juan, Carmen Yulín Cruz, defended herself against the found supplies and assured that nothing presented about those warehouses is the responsibility of her administration.

The warehouse was placed by Jay and his X-Rays, who had access to the lower part of the sports complex where they saw supplies consisting of 45 pallets of awnings, first aid kits, batteries and expired food.

Despite the fact that Cruz Soto assured workers were fed this food, some of the food had expired since 2019.
