Publisher Sega and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio are released Judgment for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Stadia on April 23 for $ 39.99 / 1,980 yen, the companies announced.

Judgment First launched for PlayStation 4 in December 2018 in Japan and June 2019 worldwide.

The re-release includes a frame rate of 60 frames per second, improved loading times and all previously released downloadable content.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be available both physically and digitally in the West, while only the PlayStation 5 version will be physically available in Japan and Asia. There are no plans for an upgrade path from the PlayStation 4 version.

Judgment takes advantage of the new hardware with refined images at 60 frames per second, along with improved loading times and includes all previously released downloadable content on these three platforms.

Hailed as ‘the best crime drama not on TV’ by the Hollywood Reporter, Judgment was originally released on PlayStation 4 in 2019. It’s remastered Judgment marks the debut of the gritty story on Xbox and Stadia.

Judgment is an action thriller that puts players in the shoes of Takayuki Yagami, a disgraced lawyer turned private investigator as he uncovers the mystery behind a gruesome series of murders. Together with his partner, ex-yazuka Masaharu Kaito, Yagami must work his way through Kamurocho’s criminal background to unravel the truth – painful as it may be.

Besides locale, Judgment takes the classic features of the Yakuza series through the eyes of Yagami. Fans will recognize rough street fights, immersive side missions with the locals, and comical breaks with mini-games. Judgment ups the ante with an emphasis on investigating suspect gameplay tracking and uncovering clues as Yagami walks the thin line of justice in a world of corruption. Packed with a thrilling story, cinematic combat and a cast of intense characters, Judgment keeps all aspiring private investigators on their toes.
