John Travolta celebrated his only daughter’s 21st birthday on Instagram on Saturday.

The Pulp Fiction star shared a beautiful photo of Ella Travolta outside in the yard at their childhood home in Florida, along with a heartfelt message.

This year’s birthday will understandably have been bittersweet for the family, as it was Ella’s first birthday since her mother, actress Kelly Preston, passed away from cancer last summer.

In the photo, Ella flashed a big radiant smile, dressed in a blue denim jacket and her dark brown locks styled long and straight with a part in the middle.

At first glance, it’s easy to see Ella’s resemblance to both her mom and dad.

Travolta announced the tragic news on Instagram, revealing that his wife had “ put up a brave fight with the love and support of so many. ”

He also shared how “Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered,” in the emotional post.

Preston’s Hollywood career highlights include roles in such films as Mischief (1985), Twins (1988), Jerry Maguire (1996), For Love of the Game (1999), What A Girl Wants (2003), and Death Sentence (2007).
