The Philadelphia 76ers won 131-123 overtime on Wednesday at the Utah Jazz, thanks to the exploits of Joel Embiid during this period. The big guy had 40 points and 19 rebounds and he pushed late with a 3-pointer clutch to force overtime.
In extra time, jazz star Donovan Mitchell got two technical errors and was kicked out of the game. At that point, Embiid and the Sixers were able to pull away with the win in an instant classic of a game.
Then Embiid posted the video of his response to Mitchell picking up the technique on Twitter and the two swapped some playful barbs to each other.
This was an impressive win for the Sixers as they end the first half schedule on a high note and will enter the All-Star break with a high note. Perhaps Embiid and Mitchell will see each other on the road for the third time this season.
