Biden is the oldest man inaugurated as President of the United States at age 78, and O’Connor, who has served him since 2009 when he took office as Vice President, is a retired Army Colonel serving in the 82nd division. Airborne, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and Special Operations Command for that weapon.

In 2019, when the primaries campaign began, O’Connor was in charge of Biden’s physical examination and in his report he indicated that the then-candidate for the Democratic Party presidential nomination was in “good health and vital”.

The White House physician is responsible for the health care of the president, his family, and the presidential residence staff. It is supported for this by a team of doctors and nurses in the Medical Unit on the ground floor of the building.

The position of presidential physician is typically a designation that does not attract much public attention, however was the subject of controversy last year when Trump allegedly contracted covid-19 and Conley, he admitted, gave encouraging reports because the White House wanted to appear optimistic.

In May last year, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread rapidly in the United States, Trump claimed at a press conference that he had taken hydroxychloroquine as a prophylactic measure, led by Conley, who later confirmed that treatment.

In October, The White House reported that Trump and his wife, Melania, had achieved positive results in the coronavirus test and the president was admitted to the Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

During Trump’s stay with Walter Reed, Conley, who holds the rank of Commander in the Navy, gave contradictory reports to the press about both the president’s condition and the treatment he received. Three days after his internment, the president was fired.
