Come on man!
Joe Biden raised eyebrows on Tuesday when he accidentally called Kamala Harris “ president-elect. ”
The real president-elect made comments about the COVID-19 crisis in Wilmington, Del., When he massively promoted his vice-president-to-be.
“I hope the president will clearly and unequivocally urge all Americans to take the vaccine as soon as it is available,” said Biden.
‘I took it to build public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason, ”he continued after Harris received the shot earlier Tuesday.
Biden, 78, has been dogged by suggestions that he is experiencing cognitive decline after a White House run that has been tainted by repeated gaffes and other instances where Biden became confused or silenced.
But Tuesday’s press conference, where he accidentally referred to Harris as the true commander-in-chief, will certainly thrill Biden’s critics, who say the California senator, 56, will be in charge.
During the campaign trail, Biden insisted that Harris be ready to lead “ from day one, ” apparently to allay concerns about his advanced age and hint that he would become a term president.
It’s become a tricky joke with the couple making the Freudian slip repeatedly.
During a virtual roundtable in September, Harris, then the vice-presidential candidate, referred to the “Harris administration” as he discussed economic plans.
“A Harris government, along with Joe Biden as President of the United States,” she said before correcting her slip.
Several days later, Biden also accidentally referred to his presidential ticket as the ‘Harris-Biden’ campaign.
Conservatives have called Harris a ‘socialist Trojan horse’ and claim she will push an ultra-progressive agenda and make Biden her puppet.
This is a characterization that Biden vigorously rejected, stating, “I am now the Democratic Party” during his first presidential debate with President Trump.
