Once Joao Maleck was released after paying one three million peso bail, such as repairing death damage in a traffic accident from Castro gone and Maria Fernanda Peña, the latter’s mother attacked the footballer, judges and magistrates who took the case.
That was through a press release Martha Álvarez-Ugena, mother of Maria Fernanda, wondered if the 21-year-old player was released while refuting the statements he made Maleck a few days ago.
“Enough already !! They have already crossed the line of cynicism. Joao Maleck, how dare you say in front of the cameras that you are going to be an example for many? I don’t think a cowardly, lying killer who didn’t have the courage to take the consequence of killing two people for driving drunk and going over 120 mph is an example to anyone.
Álvarez-Ugena regretted that the judges (José Luis Álvarez Pulido, Eréndira Mercado Alcántar and Felipe de Jesús Rivera) did not exercise the full weight of the law against Maleck. In addition, he pointed out that the money paid by the player will not return his daughter’s life.
“(Joao) You have the right to a second chance. And who is going to give my daughter María Fernanda a second chance? Give me back my daughter alive, that would be the only one to repair the damage. Don’t pretend like you and your shit of “justice” by giving dirty money that I don’t need (…) my daughter’s life will never have a price, ”concluded the victim’s mother.
