Jim Carrey has finished playing Joe Biden on ‘SNL’

Jim Carrey has been impeached.

The comedian will no longer play President-elect Joe Biden on ‘Saturday Night Live’.

“Although my tenure would only last six weeks, I was thrilled to be elected as your SNL president… the highest duty of comedy,” Carrey tweeted on Saturday. “I’d really like to move forward knowing Biden was the winner because I nailed that st. But I am only one in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens! ”

The 58-year-old LA resident moved temporarily to New York City to play Biden on the long-running sketch comedy show, according to The Wrap.

“SNL” has sporadically broadcast live episodes in the studio during season 46, despite the pandemic.

“Thanks to Jim Carrey for showing up when it mattered,” the “SNL” Twitter account posted in response to Carrey’s news.

Maya Rudolph has played Vice President-elect Kamala Harris since last season, when “SNL” mocked the Democratic primaries.

A new Biden can be seen on tonight’s show, which airs at 11:30 pm. Kristin Wiig will perform with Dua Lipa as a musical guest.

During the Obama administration, Jason Sudeikis played Biden. Woody Harrelson and John Mulaney also played the future prez, but only if they hosted the show.

Alec Baldwin, who played President Trump for years, said goodbye to the character after Trump lost the election.
