Jessica Biel responds as Justin Timberlake apologizes to Britney Spears

Jessica Biel is left with her husband, Justin Timberlake, as the pop star apologized to both Britney Spears and Janet Jackson this week.

The ‘Man of the Woods’ artist took to Instagram on Friday in response to backlash he received after the New York Times airing of the New York Times document ‘Framing Britney Spears’, in which he apologized to both women for his role in disrupting of their careers and contributing to the “Glory” singer’s public shame.

“I love you. [heart emoji], ”Biel responded to his post, in which Timberlake stated,“ I am very sorry for the time in my life when my actions contributed to the problem, in which I spoke out of turn or did not stand up for what was right. I understand that in these moments and many others I fell short and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.

“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson, both separately,” he continued, “because I care about and respect these women and I know I’ve failed. I also feel compelled to respond, in part. because everyone involved deserves better and especially because this is a bigger conversation that I want to be a part of and grow from with all my heart. “

“Framing Britney Spears” briefly explores Spears’s youthful romance with the NSYNC star in the early 2000s – and the aftermath, which included allegations that Spears was cheating on Timberlake.

Timberlake fueled the story with the video for his 2002 song “Cry Me A River,” in which a blonde actress who looks like Spears sneaks around behind his back.

Biel and Timberlake married in 2012 and share sons Silas, 5, and Phineas, 1.
