Jerry Seineld lists his 27-acre Telluride, Colorado ski retreat for $ 15 million

Jerry Seinfeld has listed his sprawling mountain retreat in Telluride, Colorado, 10 years after his first attempt to clear the property.

The 66-year-old actor and his wife Jessica Seinfeld are asking $ 14.95 million for the 12,300-square-foot ranch-style estate that sits on 27 acres and has 11 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and two half bathrooms.

Additionally, Jerry and Jessica have listed a four-bedroom guest house on a separate 17-acre lot for $ 2.775 million.

The Seinfelds bought the main building – built in 1991 – in 2007 for $ 7.55 million. A year later, they bought the guesthouse for $ 2.3 million, which they reportedly used as a janitor’s home, the broker said.

It is the second time that the couple, who are avid skiers, have tried to sell the property. They listed it at $ 18.3 million in 2011, but after a few months changed their mind and took it off the market.

Jerry and Jessica have often stayed in the house over the years, which is 10 minutes away from Telluride Ski Resort, with their children Sascha, 20, Julian, 18 and Shepherd, 15.

Now that their children are older and the Colorado real estate market is hot, the couple have decided now is the right time to sell the vacation home.

Compass listing agent Bill Fandel revealed he already has viewings lined up, telling WSJ.com, “ They saw the high demand for properties and thought this was a good time, ”

Designed to resemble a series of interconnected Western ranch structures, the property is drenched in light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows in many of the rooms that offer sweeping mountain views.

The property features a gym, yoga studio and a four-car garage, and also features a creek and its own hiking trail system.

“After the Seinfelds bought the property, they did some remodeling and rethought the whole place,” added Fandel.

The pair should have no problem settling the property as Fandel explained that Telluride is currently seeing bidding wars and record-breaking prices.

Tom Cruise has just listed his nearby home for $ 39.5 million and director Barry Sonnenfeld has just completed the sale of his $ 13 million property in the same area as the Seinfelds.

Jerry and Jessica’s main residence is an apartment overlooking Central Park on the Upper West Side. They also have a sprawling waterfront mansion in the Hamptons, which they bought from Billy Joel in 2000 for $ 32 million.

The comedian, who has an estimated net worth of $ 950 million, rose to fame in the 1990s hit comedian Seinfeld, which he co-created.

In May last year, he released his new comedy special Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill, where he performed at the Beacon Theater in New York City.

He also has his hit series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee on Netflix, season 11 of which will debut in July 2019.

The comic legend signed a multi-faceted production deal with Netflix in 2016, including two new specials and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
