‘Jeopardy’ All-Star Buzzy Cohen will host Tournament of Champions in May

Buzzy Cohen will invite some of them Danger! The best players to zoom in when he guest-hosts next month’s Tournament of Champions.

In episodes airing May 17-28, 15 top competitors (see below) will compete for the top prize of $ 250,000, which will be doubled and donated to the Hope of the Valley Trebek Center for the Homeless. (Named after the late Danger! host, the Trebek Center helps up to 300 people a year with shelter, mental health services, job training and placement, drug abuse counseling, and more.)

Cohen first appeared at the quizzer in 2016, amassing $ 164,603 in winnings in nine games. He returned in 2017 to win the Tournament of Champions, and in 2019 he served as a team captain for the show’s All-Star Games. (Because hosting jobs require it to work closely with You up!writers and producers, Cohen is no longer eligible to participate in regular tournaments.)

“Buzzy has been where each of these champions is, so it will be reassuring for participants to see a familiar face behind the lectern,” executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement. “We won’t see him compete, but we look forward to seeing him use his quick wit and personality as a guest host.”

Jeopardy Tournament Champions

The Tournament of Champions consists of players who have won the most games since the previous Tournament of Champions, as well as the most recent Teachers Tournament and College Championship winners.
