Judge Irmarie Colón Massó on Friday gave way to an urgent motion calling for an amendment to the August 23, 2019, incarceration order against Jensen Medina Cardona, charged with the August 2019 murder of Arellys Mercado Ríos at Villa Marina in Fajardo, so it will be released under electronic surveillance.
This order is in response to a Dec. 4 resolution by the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.
In fact, the Pre-Trial Services Program was tasked to coordinate electronic surveillance for Medina Cardona.
It was learned that Medina Cardona provided $ 30,000 bail, ten percent of the $ 300,000 that Judge Vanessa Sánchez of the Fajardo Judicial Center imposed on August 23, 2019.
