Alex Rodriguez looks ready to slide back to home ground.
The former Yankees slugger put another PDA screen full of Jennifer Lopez in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday during a meeting with their team. Back in her bathrobe, Lopez had an ear to ear grin as she spent time with Rodriguez and the two female assistants.
At one point, the baseball player put his arm around the ‘Hustlers’ star and pulled her out for a kiss while their staff watched. In another, he leaned over to steal another hug from her while she put her hand on his face.
The couple have been smuggling a storm in front of the cameras since they jointly announced they were “going through some things” after their brief breakup last week, though her massive engagement ring is conspicuously missing.
Despite the several lovelorn displays, sources told Page Six that J.Lo and A-Rod still might not hold out long.
Lopez, 51, is in the Dominican Republic filming her new movie, “Shotgun Wedding,” with Josh Duhamel. Rodriguez, 45, flew to the tropical island last weekend in an attempt to save his relationship with Lopez.
“They had a great few days in the DR,” a source told us. “They keep going through things. That is the status quo at the moment. They are together. “
Leading up to the split, Lopez was “very upset on the set” of her movie recently, and “they haven’t been together for the past two weeks and the past few days have been no good … trouble.”
One problem, we reported, was Rodriguez’s link to “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy.
The long distance between the “Jenny From the Block” singer and the 45-year-old retired Yankees first baseman in recent weeks also created tension.
Lopez shares 12-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is the father of two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with ex Cynthia Scurtis.
