Golden Globe winner Jennifer Garner revealed the most personal parallel of her new film Yes Day about her relationship with her 15-year-old daughter Violet Affleck.
“ I’ve never made a movie where I’ve gotten more out of personal experience, ” admitted the 48-year-old mother of three on the Monday episode of SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show.

Jennifer continued, ‘It’s heartbreaking for the mother and for the teen, and it’s just necessary to cut those baby-mama ties. That’s what’s so difficult. You don’t have to let her be a jerk. It’s even harder that she’s sweet. ‘
Violet was only 6 years old when Garner made the philosophy behind Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s 2009 book a true family tradition.
