Rap mogul Jay-Z calls out Capitol insurgents in his new song, What It Feels Like, featuring late Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle.
The 51-year-old hip-hop icon dropped the collaboration Friday as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming HBO movie Judas and the Black Messiah.
In the text, Jay raps about the supporters of former President Donald Trump who stormed the Capitol in a crowd on January 6, 2021, in an attempt to reverse the legal results of the presidential election.

“You let those crackers storm your Capitol, put their feet on your desk / And yet you talk tough to me, I lost all my little respect,” Jay-Z raps in the song.
The rule is a clear reference to images of the attempted coup by rioters in the Capitol, sitting at the desks of lawmakers such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Former President Trump is currently facing his second impeachment trial in the Senate over his actions that led to the uprising.
He is accused of leading and encouraging the violence on January 6 that claimed several lives, including a police officer.

Jay-Z’s track, What It Feels Like, is from the soundtrack to HBO’s new Judas and the Black Messiah starring Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, William O’Neal, Dominique Fishback and Jesse Plemons.
It follows the story of the FBI’s murder of Black Panther leader Daniel Kaluuya. Judas and the Black Messiah will premiere on HBO Max on Friday, February 12.
Released Friday, the song features a chorus sung by the late rap icon Nipsey Hussle who was gunned down outside his Los Angeles store, Marathon Clothing, on March 31, 2019. He was only 33.
