Japanese manicure: the trend imposed by Rosalía – People – Culture

One of the things that caught the attention of the Spanish singer Rosalía the most is her nails. Ever since his music started to sound, this part of his body has stood out as extravagant.

However, now it seems that she has chosen a more understated and artistic style known as ‘Japanese manicure’.

Its extravagant style

The performer of ‘The evil wanting’ came to use her nails as another accessory of her style.

Every design she used is full of color, sparkle and eccentric details, which she used to match her wardrobe. Likewise, it was surprising for its extravagant length.

Once, the name of her single ‘TKN’ was part of her manicure, as she wrote it in black letters on her nails. The people’s comments were quick, “What’s going to be TKN?” Some noted. Others praised her nails, and a few more came to describe them as “disgusting.”

Kawajiri had even collaborated with Rosalía on the January cover of ‘Vogue’ magazine.

What is this trend about?

Japanese manicure is not new. Centuries ago it was used in the Asian country by high-tier families, and over time it became popular among the rest of the population.

To begin with, the size of the nails is personal, they can be short or long. In addition, the main feature of this technique is to provide the nails with the highest possible nutrients through moisturizing creams and other products.

Some people choose not to even apply polishes, or if they do, they are not that invasive and finish the nails with special powders. Others, like Rosalía, choose to apply nail polish, but keep the size short.
