Japanese charts: Monster Hunter Rise remains at the top of a Nintendo-dominated top ten

The numbers of Famitsu’s Japanese charts are now in for the week ending April 4, showing that Monster Hunter Rise is still comfortably in charge.

The game has sold an estimated 277,604 physical copies this week, bringing the total to just under 1.6 million in two weeks in Japan alone. Of course, Capcom has already announced that five million copies of the game have been shipped worldwide, so it’s off to a good start.

The rest of the top ten is a pretty familiar face, with Switch games taking up nine of those spots. Breaking that trend is PS4 newcomer, Outriders, which debuted in ninth place.

Here are the top ten (first numbers are this week’s estimated sales, followed by total sales):

Switch sales continue to benefit from the release of Monster Hunter Rise, although the numbers are down from last week. Incidentally, this week marks the end of data tracking for PS4 Pro sales, as the console’s production has ended. Here are this week’s numbers, followed by total sales in parentheses:
