Janet Jackson took to Twitter to thank her fans for putting one of her albums back on the map after more than three decades.
Her album, “Control,” recently hit # 1 on Apple’s Top 40 US pop album chart. The re-entry of the album came shortly after its 35th anniversary on February 4th.

Jackson’s 35-year-old album was the third studio album she made in her career. She was 19 years old at the time.
The album contained five top songs, including “Control”, “What Have You Done for Me Lately”, “Nasty”, “The Pleasure Principle” and “When I Think of You”.
It last peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums chart on February 19, 1986, and then remained on the chart for 91 weeks.
