Jana Kramer and husband Mike Caussin apparently go the way of so many country songs.
The Nashville singer posted a statement on Instagram, accompanied by a heartbroken emoji, which seems to indicate a breakup quite definitively, despite not mentioning Caussin and using no specific verbiage about a divorce or split.
“It is time,” Kramer’s statement begins. “As I try to understand a reality that I never wanted to believe would be possible again, those words have now become reality.”
‘I fought, all of you. I have loved hard. I have forgiven. I put the work into it. I have given everything I have, and now I have nothing left to give. “
“Please know that I still believe wholeheartedly in marriage, love and reconstruction,” continued the One Tree Hill actress. ‘I just can’t fight anymore. It’s time to heal. Thank you for all the love, heart and support, in many ways you fought with me on this journey, and for that I am grateful to you. “
“I will always encourage you to continue with the good fight, but you cannot fight it alone.”
Kramer, 37, and former NFL player Caussin, 34, started working in 2015 and broke up a year later when Caussin’s infidelity and sex addiction came to light. He spent time in a treatment center in 2016, feeling “comfortable that I am a sex addict.”
The couple managed to save their relationship, renewed their vows in December 2017 and translated the drama into a book and podcast about their relationship.
However, in October 2019, Kramer found a photo of a topless woman in Caussin’s phone, which she said led to “the point of literally a nervous breakdown, where I just can’t physically take it anymore.”
Despite the theory that a bot sent Caussin the nude photo to Instagram, she said at the time of the incident, “I don’t believe there won’t be another time.”
Kramer and Caussin share two children, Jolie Rae and Jace Joseph.
