According to VarietyJamie Foxx will play Mike Tyson in a “biographical limited series” about the boxer with Antoine Fuqua as director and Martin Scorsese apparently on board as executive producer. As prestige-friendly as it sounds, the project counts Tyson itself among its executive producers, which gives rise to certain assumptions about what the tone of this thing might be (or even what kind of content it might include). The Variety The story says it will take “Tyson’s entire life,” but it’s unclear whether that includes the abuse allegations against Tyson or his conviction for rape in the early 1990s.
