“The Vision GT SV is a dramatic and visually appealing car that shows what is possible when the traditional limits to real car design are completely removed. Bringing this car to life with a full-scale design study has enabled us to showcase the most extreme version of a Jaguar electric race car that is inspired by the past but fearlessly looks to the future. “
In the game, the Vision GT SV is powered by four electric motors instead of three like its predecessor. With those engines, it can generate 1,877 hp, go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 1.65 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 255 km / h. The top speed of the Coupé is 200 mph. Vision GT SV’s aerodynamic properties also help it hit those numbers. Jaguar says the most effective aero feature developed for the model is the retractable rear wing, inspired by the brand’s endurance racing cars. The rear wing has two movable sections that automatically raise to increase downforce for more traction and lower to minimize drag.
Sadly, Jaguar hasn’t said exactly what game the virtual endurance racer is for, just that it’s coming in 2021. Gran Turismo 7, which is expected to be released for the PS5 next year, but we’ll have to wait for confirmation from the carmaker and the GT developer just in case.
