The former Red Sox outfielder signs a two-year $ 24 million deal with the Brewers, according to ESPN. The deal includes an opt-out after the first year.
Bradley Jr. is considered one of the best defensive outfielders in the league, having won a gold glove in 2018 and was the best outfielder left in free agency. His bat is streakier and had a .239 batting average in his career, but he hit .283 with seven home runs in the shortened 2020 campaign.
The Mets were in talks with Bradley Jr. after losing to the Blue Jays in the George Springer sweepstakes. The Mets ultimately opted for smaller ticket options, signing Kevin Pillar and Albert Almora.
Pillar and Almora are expected to compete for time in midfield with Brandon Nimmo.
