SUMMARY FORECASTS

Sometimes the sky gets cloudy today, but many of us will see a more sunny sky than a cloudy sky.

It will be windy and chilly with peaks in the low 40s.

The wind stops at sunset (5:01 pm) and the wind stays light all night.

The sky will become cloudy tonight when some energy passes over us.

Monday we will be partly sunny. Although it is less windy than today, you will still notice the occasional breeze on Monday.

It is cold and windy all week. The highlights are all week from Tuesday in the 1930s.

Tuesday starts out sunny, but in the afternoon it will be cloudy as a cold front approaches us.

The weak cold front will cause some gusts in the evening. A few spots in the Poconos are quickly dusted off. The rest of us don’t see flakes piling up on the ground.

Wednesday will be our sunniest day of the week.

Take advantage of the clear skies and head to Uranus on Wednesday evening.

Uranus is located between Mars and the crescent moon. The moon will be lower in the sky. Then look for the brightest object directly above the moon higher up – that’s Mars. Mars has a red hue when you see it through binoculars.

The brightest object on Mars is Uranus. It will be a little below and a little to the left of Mars. It will be much smaller than Mars, so you want binoculars to see it properly. If you have binoculars, you will see a blue tint.

Late in the night the sky will become cloudy and we will be cloudy on Thursday morning and afternoon. The clouds are crossing from another cold front.

This front has a little more energy than Tuesday’s front. So we will see a quick layer of snow around lunchtime in spots in the Lehigh Valley, Schuylkill and Berks Counties and The Poconos. Philly and the Philly suburbs will just see some rain. Then late in the afternoon we see some sun back in the sky.

Day 2 Forecast.png

We are not concerned that this front develops into a blizzard, and it is sweeping over us, and so we get less than a layer of snow.

Friday is partly sunny, and it is usually sunny Saturday and Sunday next weekend.

3-day forecast.png

It’s also pretty chilly next weekend with only highs in the mid to low 30s.
