In a move that raised many eyebrows about the timing, the Westminster Abbey official website posted on Monday, February 22 that queen elizabeth ii will deliver its annual Commonwealth Day address on Sunday, March 7. The message will be broadcast on a BBC One special entitled A celebration for Commonwealth Day, which replaces the personal Commonwealth Day service that was scheduled for March 8 but was canceled due to the pandemic.
The Queen will appear in a pre-recorded message from Windsor Castle Prince Charles prince william Kate Middleton and Sophie, Countess of Wessex will also participate in the event.
