Updating: For the avoidance of doubt, Hitman developer IO Interactive has reconfirmed that the upcoming Hitman 3 will be released on Switch on January 20, alongside other versions of the game – in Cloud Version form, of course.
Original article (Tue December 15, 2020 11:30 GMT): The official opening movie for Hitman 3 has come out, giving us another juicy tease of things to come when the trilogy finale arrives on Switch.
If you need some quick catch-up, Hitman 3 is the third and final installment of the World of Assassination trilogy after Hitman and Hitman 2. It will launch on Switch in January, alongside other versions, but Switch owners will have to make do with a cloud version – meaning you will have to stream it to your console with a solid internet connection, rather than having the game itself.
The trailer shows the famous star Agent 47 of the series coming into action in Dubai. We’d say there’s a decent chance this could be the setting for the game’s first series, but we’ll have to wait and see.
