Interns reveal lurid lyrics by Lincoln Project’s John Weaver

Two former Lincoln Project interns have received lurid text messages they allegedly received from co-founder John Weaver.

Weaver is said to have hunted Alex Johnson, a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, and Charlie Stephens, who is attending Louisiana State University last year, when he recruited them as interns for his anti-Donald Trump super PAC.

“I’d love to put you in touch with some of our folks,” Weaver wrote to Johnson in April, the student told New York Magazine.

Fifteen minutes later, Weaver added, “On [your] walk, think about worshiping a big cock and making yours worship and rimming you till you beg! “

In phone calls, Weaver also tried to initiate phone sex, Johnson said.

“We talked about the Lincoln Project, and maybe to get me involved, and of course I love that. I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah, that would be great!’ Johnson said. “Then he asked me, ‘When was the last time you jerked off?'”

Once Johnson did an internship at Lincoln Project, Weaver went on to deliver the eerie messages, “Are you up, down, versa?” he asked.

His messages never stopped. And I was playing just to be nice, ”explained Johnson. ‘Cause I knew, I mean, he’s important. As if he’s in control. And we operate in the same kind of political culture as ‘Never Trumpers’. “

Weaver also reportedly started hitting Stephens, then 19, in June when he messaged him on Twitter asking if he or other ‘peers’ would be interested in an internship’ to help get the st out of Trump. and against the incumbent Republican Senate. “

When Stephens replied a week later that he had formally applied, Weaver wrote back, “You’re a stud!”

Stephens replied that that was “quite a compliment,” to which Weaver replied, “Take it! Hell, you could be very good;).”

On Thursday, the Associated Press reported that Lincoln Project leaders had been notified in writing and by phone of at least 10 specific allegations of harassment against Weaver as early as June.

The revelation casts doubt on the organization’s statement last month that it was “shocked” when the allegations against Weaver were made public.

The Lincoln Project – best known for raising millions to fund the “Never Trump” movement – announced plans late Thursday to launch an outside investigation into Weaver’s tenure.

“The Lincoln Project believes the members of our movement and the victims of John Weaver’s despicable and deceptive behavior owe the facts, and you will receive them,” the organization said in a statement. “John Weaver betrayed us all and you deserve the facts presented independently through a transparent process.”

Co-founder Steve Schmidt also doubled down on the group’s claim that it was never aware of any internal allegations involving Weaver.

The group also urged anyone with a nondisclosure agreement to contact them “for release”.

Weaver, who is married with two children, resigned last month and apologized for his actions after his alleged misconduct came to light, saying he was struggling to accept that he is gay.

“For the men I made uncomfortable with my messages that I considered back then two-way conversations, I’m really sorry,” he wrote. “They were inappropriate and it was because of my shortcomings that this inconvenience was caused to you.”
