President Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin are politicizing the military and may plan to “ purge ” conservative or Trump-supporting soldiers under the guise of “ extremism, ” Laura Ingraham said on Thursday.
The host of “The Ingraham Angle” recalled comments Austin made during his hearing last month in which he pledged to “fight hard to eradicate sexual assault and free our ranks from racists and extremists.
The job of the Department of Defense is to keep America safe [from] our enemies, but we can’t do it if some of the enemies are within our own ranks, ” added Austin, a retired general who was recently on the board of defense company Raytheon.
On Wednesday, Austin announced a 60-day “resignation” and ordered military leaders to have “necessary discussions with the men and women of the force” in an effort to eradicate extremism from the ranks.

“One thing is for sure,” said Ingraham. “If this is substantive and not symbolic, it will do serious damage to our military readiness and morale. Our men and women in uniform have been asked to sacrifice for so long – multiple tours, many of them – often, ridiculous. crazy wars.
“Now the Biden administration is rewarding them by labeling them as potential domestic terrorists? Checking off time bombs of white supremacy? You can always count on think tank generals whose salaries are funded by wealthy donors to join Democrats on this issue.”
“If Democrats were seriously concerned about eradicating extremism, they would look in the mirror,” Ingraham added. “How many crazy, inflammatory, inflammatory, defamatory, hateful things have their members said in the last five years, or just the last month?”
The host concluded by challenging Republicans such as House GOP conference chairman Liz Cheney, R-Wyo.

“Why should we fund an organization that the Democrats intend to use, not to protect us, but to restrain us to protect themselves and their hold on power?”
