About 13,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Puerto Rico, the Undersecretary to the Department of Health reported today, Friday, Iris Cardona.
In an interview with WKAQ 580, the doctor explained that the amount could be more if the doses administered last night are counted.
“According to the information we receive from hospitals, there are already some 13,402 (vaccines) in the arms of health workers,” Cardona announced.
Likewise, the official announced that, except for pain in the injection area, no side effects have been reported in people who have received the vaccine.

He also reported that the Ministry of Health is working to include vaccination figures in its daily reports that also report coronavirus infections and deaths.
“We are working on the platform. As in the case of laboratories, if the institution administering the vaccines has a four-hour period to report, we will always have that delay,” he explained.
“The goal is that in the same ‘dashboard’, where cases and hospital admissions are reported, some variables will appear, namely vaccines that we have received, on arrival, vaccines that are distributed to the centers. Now they are hospitals, but eventually there will be several. entry points where vaccines keep coming in, ”he added.
