From illusion to chaos, Mexican Football League, who wanted to be an alternative to Liga MX ends his season with a disfigured face, with only 3 of the 16 teams, but still hoping for a second campaign, says its president, Victor Montiel.
In an interview with Media tempothe manager acknowledged that they should not have started the season in September last year many teams did not yet have the necessary organization and infrastructure, even revealing that one of the applicants tried with a forged registration.
That was just one of the details gathered in recent months, in which there were dozens of public debt claims by players, warnings of lawsuits from employees of the LBM towards the board and very little sporting value for this competition which is not affiliated with the Mexican Football Association.
“Right now you believe in business people because they are negotiating and we are all to blame but we had a salary cap and if they can’t pay they blame the competition and that could be a mistake and this caused internal problems and they show that we are to blame, but the businessmen did not see their economic ability to resolve ”, he said Montiel.
“We trusted everyone would give them time to build their structure and while they were doing it time passed and due to a bad decision it was decided to start the competition instead of doing it when they already were well structured; now in the second tournament we have to be aware that if nothing is clear we cannot start ”.
CREMONESE WANTED FOOTBALL LEAGUE FRAUD
The first problem faced by the Football League was the withdrawal of the invitation from the Cremonese Xalapa, a team claiming to sign the Italian Riccardo Montolivo and who did not accept membership because his subscription payment was not true.
“That payment was never made, it was forged, and then we took action to track the payment and the receipt was forged; which was crafted to harm the league, because even in that bank there wasn’t even box 6, where the payment was supposedly made, “he revealed. Montiel.
The manager explained that the teams’ various debts resulted in the league having some financial problems as well, with the referees, for example.
“It is a problem that cannot be hidden, we planned for the competition to be successful and ultimately the competition will continue to work. The teams were withdrawn due to the lack of liquidity and that resulted in us all having some debts, like with the referees, and that made us make the decisions to ask teams to unsubscribe and now there are only the teams that managed to resolve and now we are in the process of restructuring ”.
PROMISES GUARANTEES TO NEW INVESTORS
Despite the many failures, the firm intends to implement a restructuring that will provide guarantees to entrepreneurs who want to have a team in the second tournament from the competition.
“We are going to improve a number of situations so that things take a turn and that entrepreneurs have that confidence, this is a mutual mistake, they were looking for higher salaries and things got out of hand, they also had no sponsors”.
ERROR IN THE CONSTITUTIVE ACT UNLEADED LEGISLATION
Besides lawsuits against employees Montiel, the former president of the Shark Club, Diego Bartolotta, sued the League for fraud; for the, Montiel He assured that this is due to a mistake in the league’s constitutional act and that they want to blame him on several issues.
“We broke off our relationship (with Bartolotta) on an earlier date where the partners were in a constitutive act they never worked with and proclaim what the competition is,” he said.
“When we broke up, we already had the statutes that ended up with an error and that error comes from the notary and therefore the record does not work; the partners claim other things that are not and I can prove the problem of the error.
WILL LOOKING FOR A NEW PRESIDENT
Before the departure of Carlos Salcido of the Presidency of the League, Montiel the search for a new character to fill that position will begin.
“We ended very well, he is a good, honest and hardworking man with good ideas and we are grateful to him.”
The fact is, you don’t have to worry.
