The Aibonito Area Research Corps reported this morning that they found the lifeless body of Angie Noemí González Santos, the 29-year-old nurse and mother, who had been reported missing by her husband since January 15 this year.
Lieutenant Héctor Maldonado indicated they were on the scene after González Santos’ partner confessed to killing her. The man agreed to have thrown the body off a cliff.
The body was found in the Coamo Arriba district on the PR-555 highway, kilometer 4.8, in the aforementioned municipality.
‘We found the body on a cliff about 30 feet away. We continue the investigation by collecting videos and evidence. We interviewed this young woman’s couple again and he himself confessed the facts and took us to that area where we had found the facts. “, Told Maldonado.
González Santos’s body showed signs of violence.
The woman’s husband is Roberto Félix Rodríguez Díaz, 35, who reported her missing and now appears as the prime suspect in the crime for which he has been arrested.
According to Maldonado, Rodríguez Díaz had murdered his wife the same day he reported her missing, “because she hadn’t returned home.” The man is a mechanic and father of the three daughters who survive González Santos, according to the Uniformada.
However, the lieutenant made no mention of the motive for the murder or the circumstances under which it took place.
“No type of weapon has been found on the scene,” said Maldonado.
The lieutenant confirmed that Rodríguez Díaz also confessed to why he killed his wife, but all information is kept confidential until the case is brought to court for charges.
Currently, Officer Ocasio of the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Aibonito’s CIC and Prosecutor Víctor Casiano are investigating these events.
