CITY OF MEXICO (proces.com.mx). – Starting next Monday 22, public and private universities in Mexico City will be able to hold hands-on classes and in laboratories for their health sciences students they need to qualify, said head of government Claudia Sheinbaum.
In addition, the Hipdromo de las Amricas in CDMX will be able to resume activities behind closed doors from this Saturday 20, with a maximum capacity of 30% of the staff, in strict compliance with the specific measures of health protection.
Both measures are taking place in the context of the entry in the third week that CDMX will attend the Orange Epidemiological Traffic Light for Covid-19, due to the decrease of several indicators of the health emergency.
Regarding the opening of school labs, Sheinbaum Pardo explained: They are (from) medical careers, they need a lab part to get their degree. We have received many phone calls from public and private universities that a physician only needs to be able to treat this part of the labs.
In a video conference, he added that the local government is working with the schools so that the presence of the students on the campuses is with a healthy distance and all sanitation measures.

The measure published in the Official Gazette of CDMX 539 Bis on January 19 specified the sanitary measures to be followed in schools:

V. The areas of common use and contact areas must be constantly disinfected within the facilities;
