IDPH reported a total of 1,856,696 COVID-19 cases, including 20,516 deaths.
Saturday night, there were 1,265 patients in Illinois who were in the hospital with COVID-19. Of these, 303 were patients in the ICU and 150 patients with COVID-19 on ventilator equipment.

In the past 24 hours, laboratories have tested 66,500 samples for a total of 18,136,253 since the start of the pandemic.
The seven-day statewide preliminary test positivity from February 21-27 is 2.4%.

A total of 2,740,105 doses of vaccine have been delivered to suppliers in Illinois, including Chicago, with an additional 443,700 doses assigned to federal government partners for long-term care facilities, bringing the total number delivered in Illinois to 3,183,805.
The IDPH said vaccine distribution numbers are reported in real time and vaccine delivery lags by as much as 72 hours.

IDPH reports that a total of 2,705,934 vaccine doses have been administered, including 315,416 in long-term facilities. The seven-day moving average of vaccines administered is 79,140.
Illinois announced that 79,266 vaccine doses were administered Saturday.
United Center COVID vaccine site
The United Center parking lots will soon be federal-run mass vaccination sites, officials announced Friday.
As the state’s supply of vaccines grows, federal, state and local officials have announced that a massive United Center COVID-19 vaccination site will open on March 10.

FEMA and the United States Department of Defense will take the lead in running the site, with a particular focus on vaccinating minority groups who are relatively slow to get doses. The staff in the arena are also experienced in dealing with large crowds and traffic.
Illinois residents who are currently eligible for the vaccine from any part of the state can come to the site. Illinois seniors age 65 and older have exclusive access to appointments first, followed by all other eligible groups on the state’s vaccination schedule.

Information on where and how to make appointments will be available in the coming days. Demand is expected to be high.

– Cook County: 3 men 1960s, 1 woman 1970s, 2 men 1970s, 1 woman 90s, 1 woman over 100
– DuPage County: 1 man in the 70’s, 1 woman in the 90’s
– Kane County: 1 man in his 70s
– Kendall County: 1 female 1960s
– Knox County: 1 man from the 90’s
– Livingston County: 1 man in his 80’s
– Pulaski County: 1 female 70s
– St. Clair County: 1 man 90s
– Will County: 1 man 90s
– Williamson County: 1 man in his 80’s
– Winnebago County: 1 male out of 80
