PRIMICS: Himar González speaks for the first time about the reason for his admission

Animated, with tremendous power and eager to resume her routine little by little. That’s how we found Himar González, whom HOLA.com spoke to after the shock that forced her to spend a few days in hospital. A complicated last part of the year from which the Antena 3 meteorologist has learned to draw a positive lesson, and that is that the tremendous love she received during her capture (and in the recovery process she is immersed in) has been the moon. of the best medicines. Fortunately, the initial shock has been left behind and the Canarian presenter is already preparing to meet again this weekend, not only with her fellow news programs, but also with the audience that faithfully accompany her in her career, which goes back ten years ago. Matías Prats and Mónica Carrillo’s partner is sincere about the reasons for his admission, his recovery, his Christmas plans and his hobbies. VIEW GALLERY -Himar, just over a week ago you gave us the best news: you are back home! How is the recovery process going? It’s going well, pretty well. I still have treatment at home, but the body is wise and is recovering by the day. – What steps are you taking to get back to your routine soon? Listening to what the body needs at all times and trying to give it a little more activity each day depending on how it is. In short, set daily goals for myself, so that the body is more responsive, and little by little regains strength, sensations, energy. And good nutrition and hydration. I am happy that I feel much better. -You scared us very much with your admission, why exactly did you go to hospital? Silent illnesses are the worst because when you start to realize that, it can be late. In my case, a bacteria caused a very serious internal infection, and the infection spread to the blood. Fortunately, we caught it on time. Because one or two days later and possibly, as they told me, I wouldn’t be here again … – What were the first symptoms of your condition, and at what point did you decide to seek medical attention? I started feeling bad at work on Sundays. And on Monday he woke up with a fever of 40. I called Antena 3 under the anti-Covid corporate protocol. On the fly, with all security measures in place, they ran the test and it came out negative. I couldn’t lower the fever with anything. It was also accompanied by a lot of tremors and severe pain. After 24 hours without the fever dropping below 40, I went to the emergency room and after exhaustively and quickly running all relevant tests, I was admitted to the ward for an additional 11 days. – Do you want to continue with periodic reviews from now on or is the fear left behind? Yes, I have to continue with revisions. I have continued treatment at home and within a week I have to test again and have medical follow-up. – Hospital stays today are full of limitations, how have your loved ones made you feel close to them? I was lucky. At Quirón Salud they were allowed to visit me. So my lovely people could sometimes join me. -In social networks you have received a lot of displays of affection, is there a message that especially touched you? There are so many … I didn’t expect the news to have such an impact. They have written to me from young to old. Each of the thousands of messages received was special to me. Words that brought a lot of affection, affection, positivity, joy, strength … I slept very little during my nights in the hospital and I read them in those moments of loneliness and when the discomfort permitted. They filled me up. He laughed with many of them, even cried with emotion at some. They always made me feel happy, loved and guided. And of course I would like to thank my family and friends from Madrid, the Canary Islands, Denmark … from so many parts, who have looked after me so well in the neighborhood or in the distance. VIEW THE GALLERY – I imagine your fellow news outlets have also been closely following your evolution, how is your relationship with them? Especially with Matías Prats and Mónica Carrillo, with whom you share the screen. The truth is, I have to thank all my colleagues for the attention they have given throughout the process. It was exceptional how they behaved and how waiting they have been for Antena 3. The work environment couldn’t be better. We are a great team, highly consolidated and well connected. It’s lucky because we had a great time working. And of course, laughter is guaranteed with Mónica and Matías. -How are you going to spend Christmas and what wish do you propose for 2021? I will be fleeing to the Canary Islands on important dates to spend it with my family, whom I love and miss. My wish for 2021 is multiple … after such a difficult year for all Spaniards and for the rest of the planet, one wish would not be enough for me. But the most important thing for this New Year is HEALTH for all. Without this gift we are nothing. – Do they often stop you on the street to ask you about the weather forecast? They often stop me, but not to ask about the weather, except rarely and for fun. They usually stop me from talking to me and convey very loving messages, even funny ones. And then it’s customary to ask me for a photo with them. -What do you like to do when you have free time? Exercising, going out when it suits me, reading, spending time with myself and taking advantage of being with friends (how well they looked after me these weeks), which also goes against the grain with the weekend shift. Singing, I like practically all music, dancing bachata because I’m in love … anything I can use and fill, I try to do it. -Have you ever said that your parents passed on their passion for sports to you when you were very young, what disciplines did they introduce you to? Uff … well, I’ve been through almost everything I think. I started rhythmic gymnastics from a very young age, I went to judo, then came swimming, surfing (body boarding) since I was little (this was the ‘fault’ of my brothers who hooked me), Ninjitsu, Aikido, fitness, dancing , yoga … I discovered running in my late teens and I was inevitably attached to it forever. My parents are not top athletes. But they always advocated a healthy life, both in terms of exercise and food. And it is something that I will thank you forever. If you learn it since you were a child, you will hardly change your habits. VIEW GALLERY – You usually do trail running, how do you prepare, what is your exercise routine? Now I no longer compete, but continue to train for personal pleasure. It’s my way of losing myself and finding myself again, filling myself with energy. I always run in nature, never on asphalt. And I always combine with gym sessions. -Is there a sport you don’t dare? I don’t think so, I would dare to do almost anything. I am quite daring. -How did you experience the delivery without being able to leave home or exercise as much as you would like? I adapt well to the circumstances that life brings us. I accept them and look for any remedies or alternatives. And I start the new path by accepting and adapting to the new situation. Just before delivery, and anticipating what was coming our way, I bought a roller to train with my racing bike at home. And here I already had weights and some more elements. So I did my daily roller sessions and that was my regeneration time every day. – Another of your passions is traveling, which place influenced you the most and why? Also know what that destination you are waiting for is. I love to travel, get lost in the countries, not as a tourist, but as a local, communicate with the inhabitants of each place and learn more about them, the region and their cultures. It is the best way to live and know a country. I usually go backpacking all over the world. And sometimes I travel alone, sometimes in company. Both ways have their magical role. I cannot tell you which country I will stay with. I would repeat each of the many destinations I have traveled to and the locals from whom I learned so much. Destinations pending … A lot! The world is so big and so wonderful that one life does not give us time to endure everything. -You also took your first steps as an actress, how did that come about? Well, the coincidences of life. The director of the film knew me through my work, contacted me and offered to try this experience. And I couldn’t help but accept. -Want to repeat your acting experience? Yes, I am always open to options.
