Iggy Azalea has been left behind after her explicit music video for the new single Sip It failed to make it into YouTube’s top trending videos.
The Australian rapper slammed the video streaming website on Twitter this week, claiming her livelihood as an independent artist was compromised.
“So YouTube isn’t recommending or trending my video because of the” content of the video, “she tweeted.

“I’ve waited 48 hours and still can’t get a real answer from anyone on YouTube about why they have much more controversial videos in their trending list right now.”
She continued: ‘I’m really disappointed because I’m indie and I depend on stuff like that for streaming.
‘I sent my video to their staff a week earlier and they told me it was perfect, without any issues.’

‘I don’t really feel like it’s fair, and I really wish someone at @youtube would fix it,’ she concluded.

In the clip, the 30-year-old twitches in a convenience store while wearing a sheer multicolored bodysuit and G-string.

Another scene sees Iggy pour a carton of milk over the back of a twerking stripper.
The lyrics compete with Cardi B’s vulgar hit WAP, with references to oral sex, one night stands and flirting with other rappers.
“Fuck him on top, big b ** bs, no training bra,” Iggy raps in the opening verse of the song.

Iggy, whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, was born in Sydney before moving to Miami to pursue her rap career at the age of 16.
After living in Florida and Los Angeles for several years, Iggy now resides permanently in Atlanta.
In the past, she wasn’t exactly complimentary about her homeland.

In September 2018, Iggy said she would not be touring Down Under because it is too difficult to make a profit there.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, she wrote: ‘It’s hard to take advantage of it honestly, it’s far, and should be part of a larger group of shows in Asia etc.’
Speaking to the Herald Sun in January 2016, Iggy said she was glad she was no longer living in Australia.
“I mean, to be honest, my house is in America,” she said. ‘It’s great to come back [to Australia] and visit my grandparents, but there is no home connection. ‘
