The Chivas defender previously pointed out that the azulcrema club lacked features that characterize them and rejected the title for which they were surpassed.
Via a video entitled ‘Identity’, América responded to Chivas defender Antonio Briseño’s statements, assuring that the azulcrema team is missing the same.
In said audiovisual material, the club showed historical aspects through photographs dating from 1916 to the present day, as well as the most memorable moments in the classics against Guadalajara, such as the penalty saved by Héctor Miguel Zelada at the end of the 1983-1984 season; later a goal from Salvador Cabañas, in a game played on the Azteca Stadium field, alongside Edú’s rabona pass with a header from Toninho and Guillermo Ocho’s save against Juan Francisco Palencia in the summer of 2005.

Hours before that, Antonio Briseño said that “America doesn’t scare anyone” and the only thing it can “respect is death.”
“They can take (players) from all over the world, but to have that greatness, to be the team with the most titles, the second, to be the one with the most fans, the one that sells the most shirts and has that. an identity that plays with pure Mexican, that is much greater than a title of difference ”.
“We can win that next tournament and we will match them. So I don’t think we are on an equal footing, but we are much bigger than America, so I told you they have no identity,” he concluded.
