Bryan Moss, of Meridian, won a $ 250,000 prize from a crossword game on Thursday, the Idaho Lottery said in a press release, marking his sixth-ever lottery win. However, this is his first grand prize and “by far the biggest,” said Idaho Lottery.
Moss, who owns the health store Newko Sport and Nutrition, told Idaho Lottery that he plays regularly because he knows it benefits Idaho schools.
The Idaho Lottery dividend has gone to Idaho public schools since its inception and to the Permanent Building Fund, which supports state-run facilities such as Idaho’s colleges and universities. In total, $ 961.5 million has been contributed to these two entities throughout the history of the state lottery.
“I’m proud to help support Idaho public schools, that’s really why I play,” Moss said in a statement.
He said he intended to put his profits aside for his daughter’s education.
