I lost the ‘GMB’ job because I didn’t apologize for Meghan

Piers Morgan says he is the latest victim of culture cancellation after leaving “Good Morning Britain” because he said he didn’t believe Meghan Markle.

“Those of you who know me well enough know that, despite my many mistakes, I am always ready to stand my ground for the things I think matter most,” he wrote in a long post on social media, adding that his opposition to the Iraq War and his views on US gun laws led to earlier terminations of the Daily Mirror and CNN.

“And now I’ve lost my job at Good Morning Britain for choosing not to apologize for not believing Meghan Markle’s claims in her interview with Oprah Winfrey,” he continued.

Morgan, who has a well-documented troubled relationship with the Duchess of Sussex, redoubled his comments on his disbelief in Markle’s claims of racism and suicidal thoughts the day after he left the ITV show. Although he called himself a “victim,” he claimed he wasn’t.

“So I became the last ‘victim’ of the cancellation culture pervading our country, every minute, every hour, every day,” he wrote.

Morgan, 55, stressed the importance of freedom of expression, calling it the ‘most important issue’ of his career and British society. That freedom allowed him to use his message to promote his book “Wake Up” on Amazon.

“As I said when I left GMB, the right to free speech is a hill worth dying on,” he concluded. “… This is not just an act of defiance, but a commitment to our collective future.”
