“I’m sad, it was a surprise to me that Palmeiras didn’t have me in their plans for the Libertadores. It could help in the semifinals. I wanted to be real. I have great affection for the club for everything I did and for what the fans did for me. I don’t understand why they don’t want me. I am a Palmeiras player, I just had to gain weight, put on my shirt and play. I do not understand this situation, ”said the Cordoba striker, who just scored 20 goals with Junior in 2020.
“These are the times when I want to show that I am serving for Palmeiras, that I am serving against River Plate. I was very motivated. I like to turn it around. I have God in my life and it is at that moment that God gives me the gives power to change things, ”he added.
Borja assured that while he was in Junior, they told him from Palmeiras that they were following his present, which is why he was excited about a return and revenge for Verdao, in the event that Junior did not use the option to take 50% of his pass, as stipulated in the agreement with the Brazilian team.
