Mantis Blades are a deadly body modification in Cyberpunk 2077 and can be quite expensive to get.
However, there is a way to get a free set of Mantis blades. Fortunately, it is quite simple and just relies on chance.
Players can head to the Corpo Plaza in the city center when they are ready. In the northwest corner of Corpo Plaza, the mantis leaves will reside in a container. Players can look for a side job nearby to indicate that they are close to the container.
Things get tricky here because the Mantis Blades are not guaranteed. That said, the chance of drop is random, but not unlikely.
Players must save the game before opening the container. Once stored, the container can be opened. If the Mantis Blades are there, the mission is complete. If not, simply reload to the last storage and try again. Each charge will spawn slightly differently until the container is opened.
Mantis knives in Cyberpunk 2077
There are tons of ways to customize the body in Cyberpunk 2077. Mods range from eye implants to skeletal changes and everything in between. Mantis Blades are easily one of the most exciting body mods and are fitted in the arm slot.
Players do not need to be skilled in knives to use the Mantis Blades. However, upgrading the Reflexes feature tree will generally do more damage to Mantis Blades.
The basic way to get the Mantis Blades is to go to a Ripperdoc located anywhere in Night City.
Once at a Ripperdoc, players can go to the arm customization slot and purchase a Mantis Blade upgrade. The catch is that they are quite expensive devices. In addition, players require nearly 20 street cred to purchase the Mantis Blades.
This means that players will have to complete many side missions of fixers, random points of interest or main missions. Each of these options provides both cash and street value.
With Mantis Blades themselves, players can launch on their enemies and start melee fights when needed. It may seem like they are only meant for melee players, but they also make sense for weapon building. There are numerous scenarios in which knives help at close range.
