HOUSTON – According to officials, Houston police are responding to a disturbance Saturday afternoon at Galleria Mall.
Police said there are people running around the Galleria, located at 5100 Westheimer Road. The incident took place near the Macys, police said.
According to Twitter users, there may have been a shooting at the mall.
About an hour later, HPD said there was no confirmation of a shooting and no victims had been declared, according to a city official on Twitter.
I just spoke to an information officer from the Houston Police Department. There is no confirmation of a shooting. There are no accountable victims. They still talk to people, but it could have been a false report. We will wait and see.
