Hospital admissions are down again, and no new COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Utah

The total number of people fully vaccinated against the corona virus is approaching 800,000.

Utah saw no new deaths related to COVID-19 reported by the Utah Department of Health on Sunday, although more than 17,000 new vaccinations were administered and about 8,000 more people were fully vaccinated. Hospital admissions have fallen slightly, although the number of people in intensive care has risen slightly as a result of COVID-19.

Vaccinations reported in the past day / total vaccinations 17,268 / 1,897,531.

Utahns fully vaccinated 791,340.

Cases reported in the past day • 248.

Deaths reported in the past day • Zero.

Tests reported in the past day • A total of 4,112 people were tested.

Hospital admissions reported in the past day • 133. That is seven less than Saturday. Of those currently hospitalized, 55 are in intensive care – two more than Saturday.

Percentage of positive tests • The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests from the same person. The rate on Sunday was 3.3%, lower than the seven-day average of 3.6%.

Totals so far • 392,757 cases; 2,164 dead; 15,910 hospital admissions; 4,475,591 tests.
