Honduran dies drunk in the US while trying to heat his home with a portable generator

Texas, USA.

A young Honduran father and father died in the latter Texas USA after inhaling poisonous gases as he tried to keep his house warm in the face of cold wave that touches American territory.

The Honduran, identified as Kevin Ayala, seeing the low temperatures froze his home, without electricity, due to the blackout in several states from the winter storm, he decided start a portable generator that will activate the heating in the house.

Ayala lived in the United States, having emigrated from Honduras, along with his wife and son, in the state of Texas. After he turned on the generator, the young man would have inhaled toxic gases that were disconnected from the device, causing him to pass out and then die.

His wife said, “Nothing they did made him come back. He was already dead from home.” Quick step. We were all unconscious in the house. The young man received medical attention at home, but despite several attempts to recover, it was not possible.

Katherine Padilla reported that the generator stayed on for 1 hour. “When we got sleepy, we went to sleep,” he says. After this she describes that her son started to epilate and that he does not remember anything. All three were unconscious for more than an hour.

“I couldn’t move my lips. They started to give us oxygen”, Padilla describes. Ayala was transferred to a health center, but arrived without vital signs. While his wife, pregnant wife and four-year-old son remained in the hospital until they were released.
