Honda Made The Grass Miimo, a cute little Roomba for your lawn

Look goooooooooooooooo!
Poison Honda

When my husband and I are shopping for a house and my husband insists we need a yard at least two acres that I have little interest in maintaining, but like the sound of, I keep thinking how nice it would be to have that beautiful garden without having to do anything myself. Hondas Grass Miimo is the answer to all my problems.

This cute little robot is actually a Roomba, but for mowing the lawn. Like, I legitimately can’t figure out how cute it is. It is made all the better because it is functional; it is listed as being able to mow 43,055 square feet, or just under an acre, and has been marketed as a way to help people with larger lots or orchards.

It’s literally like a Roomba. Before using it, you need to set a boundary, which you do with an electrical wire that can be buried. Then the Miimo can mow worry-free, bounce off obstacles and maneuver until the yard is clear. When it decides the battery is low, it docks itself on the charging station and gets pumped full for the second round.

And yes, you can even schedule it to mow at certain times of the day. You can even set it to run at night as it’s electric and doesn’t make a lot of noise to wake your neighbors.

That said, there are limitations. It cannot chop heavy grass more than four inches long. He cannot climb a hill higher than 25 degrees. The price of the newer version is not available, but the old one still costs $ 2500. And I have to wonder how it would perform in adverse weather conditions, such as in the rain or when it gets really hot.

You can submit your interest to Honda until April 17th, but I have to imagine this will be a product only available in Japan for its debut.
