Hollywood residents have a cow after a landmark sign is damaged

Hollywood residents had a real cow on Friday when the iconic sign on the hill in Los Angeles was vandalized for the second time this year.

Three men in their 20s were arrested after allegedly damaging the monument by placing a cow’s head over the first “O,” the LA Times reported, citing police sources.

Six people were arrested in February after changing the sign to “Hollyboob,” including adult “Shag Mag” publisher Julia Rose, according to reports.

The cow’s joke may have been a publicity stunt by local band Junior Varsity, TMZ reports.

The band recently released their first single, “Cold Blood,” featuring a cow on the cover, while their social media outlets told people to “look for the signs,” noted TMZ.

“It’s a real shame that people want to try to make a statement on the sign,” said Mark Panatier, president of Hollywood Sign Trust to the LA Times, calling the response from police and rangers “spectacular.”
