Disturbing video emerges from Canada showing police officers assaulting a young man and targeting a taser into playing ice hockey on an outdoor court in Alberta.
A viral video shows Calgary police stopping an ice hockey game on an outdoor track. Police allege the game violated public health regulations. There were reports of 40 people at the ice rink and skate park in Southwood.
According to the Alberta government website, “Outdoor team sports should also be limited to 10 people or less and a distance of 2 meters should be maintained at all times.”
Two female officers attempt to arrest the man, who refuses to obey the orders of the police to come to the ground. An officer is caught on video kneeing the hockey player, but remains standing on the ice. During the struggle, one of the police officers falls to the ground.
When someone asks why the officer has his hand on a gun, the officer replies, “It is not a gun, it is a taser, and he is under arrest, and I have the authority to use force to make an arrest. to be carried out.”
Pointing her taser straight at the man, the cop yells, “Get on the ground! Get on the damn ground! Get on the ground before I fuck you!”
Bystanders urge the man to get off the ice and surrender to the police.

The officers finally got the man’s hands behind his back, and he says, “I just asked you what you did with that little kid.”
The “little boy” could refer to a 12-year-old Rayan Sanoubar, who was ordered by the police to stop skateboarding in the same park.
“A peace officer got in this car and got out and … told skateboarders we had to go and [were] not allowed to be there and we all declined and he called for support for other police, ”Sanoubar told Global News.
“They had him on the ground for six minutes, just frozen, cutting off his skates with a knife,” Sanoubar said. “They arrested him and threatened us by saying, ‘We’ll give you tickets if you don’t run away.'”
Authorities said a 21-year-old was charged with interfering with an officer, resisting arrest and violating public health law.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi said Friday, “If you see blatant violations happening, you should call them. It doesn’t mean that if any hockey game starts on an ice rink and breaks up quickly, you’re going to call the police – if you see that. putting people at risk is something that you have to engage. “
“There are no hard, fast rules about how many people can be on an ice rink … but you will know when you see it,” Nenshi added.
The names “Ocean” and “Orca” can be heard in the video. The young man who is arrested is said to be 21 years old Ocean Wiesblatt, said the founder of Rebel News Ezra Levant. Ocean Wiesblatt plays for the Portage Terriers, a Canadian junior “A” ice hockey team.
Wiesblatt comes from a family of hockey players; his three brothers, including Orca Wiesblatt, play junior hockey. Another brother, Ozzy Wiesblatt, is an NHL prospect who was called up by the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the 2020 draft in October.
