Hitman 3 DLC announced for February: Elusive Targets, Escalations, more

We already knew that Assassin 3 got more content soon, but it turns out developer IO Interactive already has a slew of plans for February. The studio will be releasing new content every week throughout the month, according to a content roadmap released Thursday.

Most of the new content will focus on escalation missions, which are variations of the missions already in the game. Escalation missions provide new parameters for existing missions by doing things like changing the goals or getting players to eliminate them in very specific ways.

In the first mission of the month, scheduled for February 4, IO will send players back to Dartmoor – but this time, to eliminate every member of the wealthy Carlisle family and make every death look like an accident. On February 18th, players will be given an escalation mission called ‘The Sinbad Stringent’ which appears to consist of knives, boxes and a twist Assassin 3first mission in Dubai, although IO didn’t go into too much detail.

The new content for February also includes two Featured Contracts created by MinnMax (Dubai) and KindaFunny (Dartmoor). An update on February 23 will give players who own the Deluxe Edition of the game new items to complete both the Mendoza and Carpathian Mountains missions in two Deluxe Escalations.

IO also plans to release a game update that day, but the studio has not explained what would be inside. According to IO’s blog post, the patch contains bug fixes and a few tweaks to the game, preparing players for something called ‘The Initiation Protocol’. While this isn’t much, IO said it would provide more information about the patch closer to the actual release date.

Finally, IO ends the month with new Elusive Targets on the Sapienza map of the original Hitman, which runs from February 26 to March 8. The game’s Elusive Targets and Escalation Missions are free to all players who own the game – and Hitman (2016) in the case of Sapienza – while the Deluxe Content is only available to players who purchase the Deluxe Edition of Assassin 3.
